Volunteering
The Historical Village is a wonderful place to volunteer, meet people and keep active. As one can imagine it takes a great many hands to keep this very large Village open to the public seven days a week and your contribution is most welcome and appreciated.
Right now we need help with marketing, human resource management, catering, customer service, tour guides and demonstrations and activities.
We are in the process of establishing a new marketing department within the Village to create a broader community interest and to generate increased visitor activity. We are seeking volunteers with some marketing or promotional experience to join the new marketing department. Jobs will include: preparing leaflets or mailouts, preparing customer surveys, preparing reseach material, taking consumer surveys, customer service and customer relations, advertising and promotions.

It has been through the collective efforts of many volunteers since that time that we now have the Historical Village as we know it. We have volunteers who work as reception staff on the Front Counter of the Main Museum, others who work in the cafe and on various other catering tasks, administration, marketing, staff management, retail, those who work on building maintenance, grounds maintenance, machinery maintenance, vehicle restoration, collection management, tour guides and volunteers who conduct activities and demonstrations for our school visitors.
