The most frequently asked question in relation to weddings at the Village is,

"Do you hold weddings?".  The simple answer to that is, "Yes we do!".

The Caboolture Historical Village is a fantastic place to hold a wedding for the client who wants to have a wedding with a historic feel on a budget. 

Clients can allow their imaginations free rein by having a themed wedding or a more traditional ceremony.  Either way it up to the client. 

Think of the Village as a blank canvas - you add as little or as much detail as you like!

We have a choice of ceremony areas available.  The Wedding Chapel is available for hire and seats about 60 people.  This chapel can be decorated by the client or we can decorate for you, (this option is often handy when clients have run out of time and are just too frazzled!).

Anywhere in the grounds can be used for a ceremony.  A popular choice is the Bush Chapel for that outdoors feel.  Clients are once again able to decorate this area to suit their tastes.

For receptions we have two options.

The Stanmore Hall is a rustic community hall that has chairs and tables for 100 people, (although past clients have fit 130 guests in comfortably). 
This venue looks great decorated, ( There are only very few restrictions).  Many a themed wedding has taken place here.  Whether you hire in a professional or do-it-ourself  let your imagination go!

The Village Hotel has had its verandah doubled in size and can now accommodate approximately 100 people. 
Many clients choose not to decorate this venue as it has plenty of personality of its' own but once again it is entirely up to the client.

The Village is often used as a backdrop for wedding photography.  The old buildings and established gardens make it easy to get great shots whether you hire a professional or
just take your own.  Below are some examples of non-professional shots taken by a staff member.

Because most of our staff here at the Village here are volunteers, we do not cater for weddings.  This means that clients have flexiblilty regarding menu, price and style.
Clients can hire in who they want and have complete control over one of the most important parts of a wedding.

 On the flipside, there is nothing stopping clients using their own organised transport to arrive in style.  Bridal vehicles are allowed into the Village grounds.  So if you have a beautifully restored car, limo or have organised a horse and carriage we will have the gates open and ready for you!
