Who is Carla Calisto?
Born in Portugal, Carla developed a palate for artisan cheeses early in life. At the age of 5 Carla moved with her family Down Under where she was immersed into two very different cultural worlds. Early in her formative years Carla watched her parents hold onto their cultural ways and traditions. Her childhood comprised of traditional lunches and parties celebrating everything home reared & homemade. She watched her parents grow vege’s and fruit trees; raise and slaughter various livestock such as pigs, chickens, pigeons, hares, and goats, make cheese , cure chorizo and prosciutto. This over the years instilled in her a passion for homemade & sustainable living. Today she travels around teaching & inspiring others to do the same.
Class is $35 which includes notes and tasting.
