The museum is located inside the Police Station and focuses on the history of the prison system in Queensland.
Volunteers, Steve and Mick, are available on Wednesdays and are able to assist visitors with questions about the items on display and on the prison system – between them both they have 50 years service.
Steve and Mick also give interactive presentations – and do not worry – they do have keys for the handcuffs !!
Behind the police station is the building that houses two historic timber lock-up cells. These lock-ups cells are full of memorabilia and stories.
