The transport building was officially opened on 29th April 2000.  It featured three roller door access to enable the vehicles to be removed for parades and repair as and when required.

This exhibit displays various items relating to road transport commencing with Horse-drawn transport, Bicycles, Motor Bikes, Motor Cars, Trucks, Tractors, Electric Mobllity Scooter and 3 wheel Invalid Chair powered by Ducatti.

All of the exhibits have been donated  -  some in running order, while others were recovered in parts  e.g. the 1929 Dodge truck was located at Bracken Ridge in 1999.  The wooden body had to be remade by the Village workshop.

Grader

A large proportion of our extensive tractor collection was donated by Morrie and Don Barton, Bill King and Graham Gow and has over 40 units, the rarest of which is a 1956 David Brown – Model 2D of which only 1,500 were made.

As part of our Transport Museum we also have a sawmill and in other parts of the Village we have fire engines, army vehicles and a SES vehicle.

A 1939 CAT No. 12 Grader was donated to the Village and is still used to repair our roadways from time to time.

The largest Victa Mower collection in Queensland is also available for you to marvel at and located in various areas of the Village.

A recent addition to our collection is an early 1900’s French built horse-drawn Hearse kindly donated by Traditional Funerals.  This is located in our Visitor Reception Centre.
